Gal. 1:17-19 "neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which
were
apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and reutrned again
unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem
to
see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the
apostles saw I none, save james the Lord's brother."
Gal. 2:7 "but contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of
the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of
the
circumcision was unto Peter;"
(Peter didn't preach to the Gentiles?)
Gal. 2:19 "For I through the law am dead to the law, that I
might live unto God."
(Christianity and Judaism not the same)
Gal. 2:21 "for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is
dead in vain."
(Paul argues that now that Christ is come, Judaism is
not a valid path to God)
Gal. 3:6-9 "Even as Abraham believed God, and it was
accounted
to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which
are
of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the
Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen
though
faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In
thee
they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham."
(Gentiles now children of Abraham)
Gal. 3:26-29 "For ye are all the children of God by faith in
Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into
Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there
is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for
ye are all one in Christ Jesus."
Gal. 4:7 "Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son;
and
if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."
Gal. 4:24-26 "Which things are an allegory: for these are the
two covenants; the one from the mount Si'nai, which
gendereth to
bondage, which is Hagar. For this Hagar is mount Si'nai in
Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in
bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is
free,
which is the mother of us all."
(Jews in bondage to the law)
Gal. 5:1 "Stand fast therefore in liberty wherewith Christ hath
made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of
bondage."
(Jesus did not reject the law)
Gal. 5:22-26 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness,
temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are
Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us
not be desirous of vainglory, provoking one another, envying
one
another."
Gal. 6:2 "Bear ye one another's burden, and so fulfill the alw
of Christ."
Gal. 6:5 "For every man shall bear his own burden."
Gal. 6:7-8 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever
a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his
flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to
the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
Gal. 6:10 "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good
unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household
of
faith."
