NEHEMIAH


Neh.   1:8-9  "Remember, I beseech Thee, the word that thou didst
command  Thy servant Moses saying:   If ye deal treacherously,  I
will scatter you abroad among the peoples;"

Neh.   1:9  "but if ye return unto Me,  and keep My  commandments
and do them, though your disperssed were in the uttermost part of
the  heaven,  yet will I gather thee from thence,  and will bring
them unto the place that I have chosen to cause My name to  dwell
there."

Neh.   3:16   "After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk,  the
ruler  of  half  the district of Bethzur,  unto  the  place  over
against the sepulchres of David, and unto the pool that was made,
and unto the house of the mighty men."

Neh.   7:5  "And my God put into my heart to gather together  the
nobles,  and  the  rulers,  and the people,  that they  might  be
reckoned by genealogy.   And I found the book of the genealogy of
them that came up at the first, and I found written therein:"

Neh.   7:61   "And  these were they that went up from  Tel-melah,
Tel-harsha,  Cherub,  Addon,  and Immer;  but they could not tell
their  fathers'  houses,  nor their seed,  whether they  were  of
Israel."

Neh.   7:66   "The whole congregation together was forty and  two
thousand three hundred and threescore,"

Neh.  8:17  "And all the congregation of them that were come back
out of the captivity made booths,  and dwelt in the  booths;  for
since  the days of Joshua,  the son of Nun unto that day had  not
the  children  of  Israel  done so.   And there  was  very  great
gladness."

Neh.   9:36-37  "Behold, we are servants this day, and as for the
land  that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit  thereof  
and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it."

Neh.   9:37   "And it yeildeth much increase unto the kings  whom
Thou hast set over us because of our sins;  also they have  power
over  our bodies and over our cattle,  at their pleasure,  and we
are in great distress."

Neh.   10:32   "and if the peoples of the land bring ware or  any
victuals on the sabbath day to sell that we would not buy of them
on  the sabbath,  or on a holy day;  and that we would forgo  the
seventh year, and the exaction of every debt."

Neh.   10:33  "Also we made ordinances for us to charge ourselves
yearly  with the third part of the shekel for the service of  the
house of our God;"

Neh.   10:34   "for  the showbread,  and for the continual  meal-
offering,  and for the continual burnt-offering, of the sabbaths,
of  the new moons,  for the appointed seasons,  and for the  holy
things,  and for the sin-offerings to make atonement for  Israel,
and for all the work for the house of our God."

Neh.   10:39   "And the priest of the son of Aaron shall be  with
the Levites,  when the Levites take tithes; and the Levites shall
bring  up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our  God,  to
the chambers, into the treasure-house."

Neh.   13:1-3  "On that day they read in the book of Moses in the
hearing  of  the people;  and therein was found written,  that  a
Ammonite and a Moabite should not enter into the assembly of  God
for ever,"

Neh.   13:2   "because  they met not the children of Israel  with
bread  and with water,  but hired Balaam against them,  to  curse
them; howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing."

Neh.   13:3  "And it came to pass,  when they had heard the  law,
that they separated from Israel all the alien mixture."

Neh.   13:23-25   "In  those  days also saw I the Jews  that  had
married women of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab;"

Neh.   13:24   "and  their children spoke half in the  speech  of
Ashdod,  and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according
to the language of each people."

Neh.   13:25  "And I contended with them,  and cursed  them,  and
smote certain of them,  and plucked off their hair, and made them
swear  by God:  Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons,
nor take their daughters for their sons, or for yourselves."

Neh.   13:30  "Thus cleansed I them from every thing forgeign and
appointed warda to the priests and for the Levites,  every one in
his work;"


FIRST CHRONICLES


1st Chron.  chapters 1-9 are one long geonology.

1st  Chron.    11:4   "And  David  and  all  of  Israel  went  to
Jerusalem--the same of Jebus--and the Jebusites,  the inhabitants
of the land, were there."

1st   Chron.   13:3  "and let us bring back the ark of our God to
us; for we sought not unto it in the days of Saul.'"

1st  Chron.   15:26  "And it came to pass,  when God  helped  the
Levites that bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord,  that they
sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams."

1st Chron.   17:11 "And it shall come to pass,  when thy days are
fulfilled  that thou must go to be with thy fathers,  that I will
set up thy seed after thee,  who shall be of thy sons; and I will
establish his kingdom."

1st  Chron.   18:3  "And David smote Hadarezer king of  Zobah  by
Hamath,  as  he  went  to  establish his dominion  at  the  river
Euphrates."

1st Chron.   18:6  "Then David put (garrisons) in Aram  Damascus;
and the Arameans became servants to David,  and brought presents.  
And the Lord gave victory to David withersoever he went."

1st  Chron  21:1  "And Satan stood up against Israel,  and  moved
David to number Israel."

SECOND CHRONICLES


2nd Chron.  2:16-17  "And solomon numbered all the strangers that
were  in the land of Israel,  after the numbering  wherewithDavid
his  father had numbered them;  and they were found a hundred and
fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred."

2nd  Chron.   2:17   "And he set threescore and ten  thousand  of
themto bear burdens,  and fourscore thousand to be hewers in  the
mountains,  and  three thousand and six hundred overseers to  set
the people at work."

2nd Chron.   6:32-33  "Moreover concerning the stranger,  that is
not of Thy people Israel, when he shall come out of a far country
for  Thy  great  names' sake,  and Thy  mighty  hand,  and  Thine
outstretched  arm;  when  they  shall come and pray  toward  this
house;"

2nd  Chron.   6:33  "then hear Thou from heaven,  even  from  Thy
dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth
to Thee for; that all the peoples of the earth may know Thy name,
and fear thee,  as doth Thy people Israel, and that they may know
that thy name is called upon this house which I have built."

2nd Chron.  6:37-39  "yet if they shall bethink themselves in the
land  whither  they  are carried  captive,  and  turn,  and  make
supplication  unto Thee in the land of their  captivity,  saying:  
'We  have sinned,  and we have done iniquitously,  and have dealt
wickedly;"

2nd Chron.   6:38  "if they return unto Thee with all their heart
and  with all their soul in the land of their captivity,  whither
they have carried them captive, and pray toward their land, which
thou  gavest  unto their fathers,  and the city which  thou  hast
chosen, and toward the house which I have built for Thy name,"

2nd  Chron.   6:39  "then hear Thou from heaven,  even  from  Thy
dwelling-place,   their  prayer  and  their  supplications,   and
maintain  their  cause;  and forgive Thy people who  have  sinned
against Thee."

2nd  Chron.   7:1  "Now when Solomon had made an end of  praying,
the fire came down from heaven,  and consummed the burnt-offering
and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house."

2nd Chron.   7:5  "And King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty
and two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep."

2nd  Chron.   7:19-20   "But  if ye turn  away,  and  forsake  my
statutes  and  My commandments which I have set before  you,  and
shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;"

2nd Chron.   7:20  "then will I pluck them up by the roots out of
my  land which I have given them;  and this house,  which I  have
hallowed  for My name,  will I cast out of My sight,  and I  will
make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples."

2nd  Chron.   12:1   "And it came to pass,  when the  kingdom  of
Rehoboam was established,  and he was strong, that he forsook the
law of the Lord, and all Israel with him."

2nd  Chron.   12:9   "So Shishak king of Egypt  came  up  against
Jerusalem,  and took away the treasures of the house of the Lord,
and the treasures of the king's house;  he took all away; he took
away also the sheilds of gold which Solomon had made."

2nd  Chron.   14:7   "And Asa had an army that bore bucklers  and
spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand, and out of Benjamin,
that  bore  sheilds  and drew bows,  two  hundred  and  fourscore
thousand; all these were mighty men of valour."

2nd  Chron.    17:11   "And  some  of  the  Philistines   brought
Jehoshaphat presents,  and silver for tribute;  the Arabians also
brought  him flocks,  seven thousand and seven hundred rams,  and
seven thousand and seven hundred he-goats."

2nd Chron.  17:13-19  "1,800,000 soldiers in Judea."

2nd Chron.   20:29  "And a terror of God was on all the  kingdoms
of  the countries,  when they heard that the Lord fought  against
the enemies of Israel."

2nd Chron.   20:33  "Howbeit the high places were not taken away;
neither  as yet the people set their hearts unto the god of their
fathers."

2nd Chron.   21:12  "And their came a writing to him from  Elijah
the prophet,  saying:  'Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy
father:   Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat
thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah."

2nd Chron.   24:18  "And they forsook the house of the Lord,  the
god of their fathers,  and served the Asherim and the idols;  and
wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their guiltiness."

2nd Chron.   25:14  "Now it came to pass,  after that Amaziah was
come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods
of  the children of Seir,  and set them up to be his gods  ,  and
prostrated himself before them, and offered unto them."

2nd  Chron.   25:24  "And (he took) all the gold and silver,  and
all  the vessels that were found in the house of God  with  Obed-
edom  and the treasures of the king's house,  the hostages  also,
and returned to Samaria."

2nd  Chron.   26:4-5  "And he did that which is right in the eyes
of the Lord, according that his father Amaziah had done."

2nd Chron.   26:5  "And he set himself to seek God in the days of
Zechariah,  who  had understanding in the vision of God;  and  as
long as he sought the Lord, God made Him to prosper."

2nd Chron.   26:16  "But when he was strong, his heart was lifted
up so that he did corruptly,  and he trespassed against the  Lord
his  God;  for  he  went  into the temple of  the  Lord  to  burn
incense."

2nd Chron.  26:19  "Then Uzziah was wroth; and he had a censor in
his hand to burn incense; and while he was wroth with the preists
the leprosy broke forth in his forehead before the preists in the
house of the Lord, beside the altar of incense."

2nd  Chron.   28:1-2  "Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to
reign;  and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not
that  which  was right in the eyes of the Lord,  like  David  his
father."

2nd  Chron.   28:2   "but he walked in the ways of the  kings  of
Israel, and made also molten images for the Baalim."

2nd Chron.   28:17  "For again the Edomites had come and  smitten
Judah, and carried away captives."

2nd Chron.  28:24  "And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the
house of God, and cut in pieces, the vessels of the house of God,
and  shut up the doors of the house of the Lord;  and he made him
altars in every corner of Jerusalem."

2nd Chron.  29:2  "And he did that which was right in the eyes of
the Lord, according to all that David his father had done."

2nd Chron.   29:19  "Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in
his  reign  did cast away when he acted  treacherously,  have  we
prepared and sanctified;  and,  behold, they are before the altar
of the Lord."

2nd Chron.   32:21  "And the Lord sent an angel,  who cut off all
the  mighty men of valour,  and the leaders and captains,  in the
camp of the king of Assyria."

2nd Chron.   33:1-2  "Manasseh was twelve years old when he began
to reign; and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem."

2nd Chron.  33:2  "And he did that which was evil in the sight of
the Lord,  after the abominations of the nations,  whom the  Lord
cast out before the children of Israel."

2nd Chron.   34:23-25  "And she said unto them:  Israel:  Tell ye
the man that sent you unto me:"

2nd Chron.   34:24  "Thus saith the Lord:   Behold,  I will bring
evil upon this place,  and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all
the  curses  that  are written in the book which they  have  read
before the king of Judah;"

2nd  Chron.   34:25   "because they have forsaken  Me,  and  have
offered unto other gods,  that they might provoke Me with all the
works of their hands;  therefore is my wrath poured out upon this
place, and it shall not be quenched."

2nd Chron.   35:3  "And he said unto the Levites that taught  all
Israel,  that  were  holy  unto the Lord:  'Put the holy  ark  in
thehouse which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build:  
there shall be no more to burden upon your shoulders;  now  serve
the Lord your God, and his people of Israel."

2nd Chron.  36:4  "And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother
king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim>  
And Neco took Joahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt."

2nd  Chron.   36:6-7  "Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of
Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon."

2nd Chron.   36:7  "Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of
the house of the Lord to Babylon,  and put them in his temple  at
Babylon."

2nd  Chron.   36:20   "Anmd them that had escaped from the  sword
carried he away to Babylon; and they were servants to him and his
sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia;"

2nd  Chron.   36:23  "Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia:   All  the
kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord, the God of heaven, given me;
and He hath charged me to build Him a house in  Jerusalem,  which
is in Judah.  Whosoever there is among you of all His people--the
Lord his God be with him--let him go up"
