Hindus and Christians In the early 30’s, while I was in elementary school and living in Bhimavaram, my dad, a Lutheran missionary, told me about how Christian converts had been killed by fanatical Hindus in a little town nearby called Narsapur. Now---75 years later---I read in the October 13, 2008 New York Times that villagers in the town of Borepanga, India have threatened the lives of Christians there if they do not convert to Hinduism. Hardly the universal tolerance of Brahma. |
